What is the
Patented Bantox® Process?
For over two
decades, this regulatory approved technology is used within the
foundry manufacturing process to stabilize heavy metal laden
baghouse dust. Considered a process modification, the Bantox®
chemistry is injected either directly into furnaces or into duct
work. The major components of the injection unit are a storage
hopper, a programmable control panel, and a volumetric feeder.
The unit may also be equipped with weigh scales and feed rate documentatior functions. All units may be customized, as
defined by your needs.
Bantox® is a complex
calcium silicate chemistry with additions of other proprietary
additives that enhance the stabilization reaction. The US EPA
defines silicate chemistries as Best Demonstrated Available
Technologies (BDAT) for stabilizing heavy metal containing
waste. Resistance to heat induced decomposition allows Bantox®
to work in atmospheric conditions that most other chemicals
cannot withstand
The Bantox®
Process is:
Proven Technology with two decades of service to the industry.
Bantoxâ
is a family of heavy metal stabilization chemistries. These are
injected into foundry bag house collection operations and also
into wire chopping operations.
